Life has been insanely hectic lately, and it's not likely to get better until next month. R and I are taking the GREs (graduate school tests) tomorrow...five hours of torture, but at least we'll get it over with. I'm madly trying to finish grad school applications and get people to write recommendation letters, even though I'm not entirely sure I want to attend grad school, but that's another story. Then there's holiday shopping; since I don't have a lot of money this year, I've had to be creative, which is fine, but it just takes a lot of time. We're leaving next week to spend Christmas in Seattle with my family, so there's a lot of preparation to get ready for that. And I don't even want to talk about work.

So yeah, things are a little nuts right now. But overall, everything's going okay. Just don't worry if you don't hear from me for a while...I promise I'll reply to posts and emails after New Year's. Have a lovely Saturnalia, everyone!

(But yes, elen_nare, I'll still beta for you! I've already allotted that time for you. :))

*Runs away screaming at the mention of holiday shopping* We went out with mum on Thursday to get presents - and returned with sandals and a dress for me instead. Both necessary, but not present shopping! At least two of my cousins have said they just want money this year because they're saving up... but the kids are actually the most fun to shop for, so I'm not sure it's such a good thing!

I hope you have a lovely time with R and your family over Christmas!

The tests were absolutely brutal. I am never doing that ever again...but at least it's over. We went to see the new Hobbit movie after the tests It was really good, but *really* intense. Not quite a relaxing experience. ;)

Holiday shopping...well, it's going. Still have quite a few things to get, but a good chunk of the shopping is done. The worst is trying to get something for R's niece and nephew; teenagers are so hard to buy for!

I got the story and will get it back to you by Friday!

*hugs* At least they're over! I haven't seen the new Hobbit yet... will probably try next weekend, since I have an exam on Friday. The good bit about revising is I get out of shopping :P My mum and dad apparently spent ages shopping today and got almost nothing... which is rather bad news since I suspect it'll mean me being roped in to shop next week, and I do have to do my own shopping too!

Good luck. The GRE was such a headache. And the security measurements to prevent cheating are worse than the airport- you have to take off your watch and lock up all your belongings.
At least at my test center. And it was in a good area.

The GRE was terrible. I sucked at the math portion. Just...ugh. The security was pretty intense, I had to remove my watch too, and go through a metal detector. But at least it's over. :)
